Engine Knocks... What could it be?
 

My engine starts fine, but when given gas, the engine starts to knock and the whole car shakes. What could it be? Please help!

Do you have a CEL? If so, have you pulled codes?

What kind of a knock?? Metallic rod knock sound, or sound from the entire engine moving? Check your motor mounts, and check your oil. If you have an oil pressure gauge, check your oil pressure as well.

While the car is running unplug your mass air flow sensor. It's on the intake hose right after the air filter box. If the engine smooths out, you've found your problem.
