Default Please help, Carb intake

Hello, first off let me apologize i dont know if this is the correct place to ask this. but heres my story

i have a 81 delorean. i am tired of the k-jet system and want to go carb. a fellow delorean board member some how got his hands on a carb intake for the 2.8 prv. ( and we cant get ahold of him anymore)
it looks like this

all i do know is it came on "B27/B28 A Series" 2.8 volvos and never came to the states. i did a wed search and i am under the impression the volvo 260 came with them. i was hoping someone on here could point me in the right direction. or is over seas and knows where to start. i would really like to find one of these intakes

if anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated, if anyone has any info you can email me

danthemutant@comcast.net

thank you all

danny

Are you saying carb as in carberator? I had a 260 and it was fuel injection. It had an intake on top of the motor in the middle, a big plunger for air but it had no CARB.

No carbureted Volvos entered the US market after 1973. Penta boat engines used them for many more years. What you would do ideally is locate a B28 based Volo Penta boat motor and scarf the intake. If you ever remotor your car, give careful consideration to using a B280. It's the new and vastly improved B28. Alternately, you could check the Canadian market...Canada allowed carbed Volvos in for a few more years but don't know about the B28...

Well, I'm sure there must be a forum in Canuckistan but do not know of one specifically. I'd do a couple of things first. Start Googleing Volvo Penta motors to determine which one(s) were based on the B28(0). I never really paid much attention to the six bangers but the 4's had names like AQ125, 140 etc. Start scouring eBay. Also, you might register with turbobricks.com so you can post in the want ads.
