tire suggestions

1996 960, right now it has pretty much performance tires on it. im looking for a good all season tire that rides nice but still handles good in all weather and last a decent amount of miles does anyone have any suggestions.

my buddy has a brand new set of goodyear RSA but i read many many reviews that say they are absolute crap in anything but dry weather

I love my Bridgestone Potenzas RE960AS pole position. They are rated like number one on tirerack.com, and depending on wheel size you have, they arent that exspensive.

I have Micheling MXV's on the wagon, Kumho's on the white car and Yokohama's on the yellow one. I like the Michelins the best by a long shot as an all season radial and for the ride, but not for the price. The price is why the other two do not have Michelins. They were very expensive for the 215/45/17's. The yokihamas and the Kumos are both good tires and not that expensive.

I'm also starting to hunt around for some new tires for my 93 960 wagon. Does anyone know the largest size I could fit with the stock 15 inch rims? I ask this because I found some 205/70R15's for about $30 less that the stock 195/65's. Right now I'm running 205/60's.

205/60R 15 is what I run.

i have the 16" rims in the 205 55 16 size. ive got it down to 2, bridgestone potenza RE or kumhos ecsta lx platinum. both have really really high ratings, im leaning toward kumhos cause i think bridgestones wear out too fast

we had some of the kumhos on our old BMW. Super nice tire, but when they started to wear out they rode like crap and liked to grab at cracks and contours in the road. We ended up replacing them with Michelin Pilots, and have never looked back
