I have a 1994 850 turbo with an electronic climate control module with part number 9144353 w344k. I have seen several options for replacement on Ebay but none of the numbers match up. The other part numbers are typically 9144256 or 9166550. All of these have the identical looking green connectors in the back of the unit. What is the difference if any among these various part numbers? The people selling the used parts advertise them as compatible for 1993-1997 850s. Is this part number difference relate to manufacture location? Any help greatly appreciated as I need to order a replacement unit. I opened the circuit board and the circuit board had some fried parts making the fan, heat and A/C inoperable. Thanks

 

I have just replaced my ECC unit too. My part numbers did not match up either. However it worked just fine. Make sure you get a unit with the same colour plug socket as the one you have though. It will be either green or yellow. Most are green. They are not interchangeable.

 

Thanks. The replacement options seen on Ebay appear to be a match by both color connectors and appearance. Where did you order your ECC?

 

I got mine from ebay. I had to put my face plate on it though, we work in Celsius here not farenheit.

 

The ECC ordered off ebay worked great! Thanks for the feedback as it too was a different part number.
