1995 850
Okay here is the issue recently I obtained my first volvo 1995 850 GLT and when heading down the high way my oil light came on started at first with a flicker then stayed on all the time. There was no sudden clanking noises or sounds as if the oil wasn't reaching the top end of the motor. Well I pulled over and I noticed white smoke coming from oil dipstick and when I removed the oil cap on valve cover a sudden burst of white smoke came out as well. However inside the cover I could clearly see that oil was present. I was wondering what this problem could be. Some people may have mentioned my oil pump seals going out in it? Also if so is this job extensive to fix and hard to do job or better to have mechanic replace the pump? One other thing to note is the car did stall out on me a few times thinking this could be my MAF but I have not checked it without the MAF plugged in didn't want to run car anymore till I determine what is the cause of oil pressure light? So can someone help me with the light problem? Thanks.
