Probably some minor diferences, but nothing major. I think they look exactly the same whereas the 95 T5R was a little different.

Diff's btwn T-5R & R
T-5R: 1995 Only. avail in Yellow & Black.
R: 97-97, avail in Red, Black & White.

96-97 R's have a revised rear spoiler which produces more downforce(less rear lift) at high speeds.

the interior is reversed. where the 95's have suade, the 96-97's have leather, and where the 95's have leather, the 96-97's have suade.

the Grey leather trim on the 96-97 steering wheels is black suade on the 95's. the Greay leather trim on the shiftknob is mahogony wood on 95's.

95's have 17" Titan wheels, 96-97's have 17" Volan wheels.
all R's have an upgraded suspension over the sport package turbo/T5 models. this includes stiifer struts/shocks/springs. they ride about 1/2" lower then Turbo/T5 models.

95-96's have R sway bars, 97's for some reason dont(instead they get T5 Sport package sway bars).

there are no options on any of the 850 "R" models, as everything is stndrd.

there is no diff. i know of btwn the engines of any 15G Turbo'd 850. (turbo/t5/t-5r/r). the R models make a tad more boost above 5K rpm...which is good for 20HP, 240 Vs 220 in other Turbo models.

that about covers the diff's btwn R models, unless im forgetting something

yea, i've read in a few places that there are a few Green 95's, but extremly rare, i think that last place i read stated there were 8 Green ones imported here.

96-97 White is pretty rare to.

I have seen a 96 that was more of an orange-ish red as opposed to the bright red, and it was an R. My wife told me not to buy it because it would clash with the burgundy wagon when they sat next to each other in the garage. It was a special color that was offered in 96 only. I saw two of them so it was not just somebody painted it that color. I posted pictures of it on this board.
