While driving home from school today both the abs trac lights came on. I also noticed earlier on the info screen in the dash the word "DISC" came up quickly and went away. I talked to my dad who owned the car before me and said it happened before and the Volvo dealership fixed it by replaceing the fron rotors and pads. I did also noticed the rear wheels are squeaking under braking only slightly. Is it a sensor or a bad ABS module??? I go to school at MMI in Orlando FL and can get a free code check at Auto Zone, but running codes will that tell me? To me i think one of the abs sensors is dirty/broken or the rear pads are shot. Not sure if Auto Zone can pull ABS codes. But give it a try.

I would say most likely a bad ABS module.
I would also bet the codes that come up will be for the R/R sensor and Pump Motor.

What Year is the car?

If worse comes to worse let me know and next time you need an Oil change you can bring it into the shop I work at for the oil change and ask for me and I will do the oil change and look it over.I will also try to sneak and pull the codes.

For the DISC I forgot to post it before. That will come up when the switch for the info screen. If you turn the switch slowly and like inbetween different setting you should be able to get it to come on.
