400 WHP auto t5, is it possible?

As the title says. Sorry for double posting. So I'm about to do a compression test on the engine to determine whether or not to get a new block. Currently the t5 is running stock with a full stage 0 and an aux trans cooler. So far I have a full IPD exhaust, (I forget the name) built crankshaft, silicone intercooler hoses, and some other small supporting stuff.

So what im currently struggling with is how to reach 400 without tearing out the whole engine. I've seen a lot of threads suggesting turbos and mods to reach around the 300-350 range but I can't find any advice higher than that. Currently I was looking at new cams, k24, reflash and all that but I'm still not certain the numbers I'll be seeing. I know the auto supposedly won't hold above 300 WHP but I'm gonna be the guinea pig. Money is no problem but obviously the cheaper the better; I just need some advice on where to start as I can't find much research past 300 WHP.

400 HP is certainly possible. Start by checking out some performance parts web sites like ardideas - you can price out a bigger turbo (ie 20T), bigger injectors, R manifold, forged rods, air tubing, a 3 inch downpipe (maybe even a cat delete) and a very agressive tune for starters. Those will set you back about $3K.

I'm actually surprised to hear the forged rods are a requirement. What are the stock ones rated?

Stock rods will eventually bent when introduced aftermarket boost control and/or higher than stock horsepower.

Definitely gonna have to check that out next, i actually remember reading about this on the modifying 850 t5 post and forgot about it 😂. Will the rest of the block hold between 400-450 whp comfortably?
