850 ATM and steering rack leak question
Hello!
850GL 1996 petrol RHD
There is a leak in the steering rack. I just keep the resevoir topped up. I can buy a kit with the seals - what does the maintenance work involve?
The car also has a bad reverse gear. On the flat in idel it will slowly reverse but if on a incline, you have to really rev the engine until it suddenly "catches". I have tried adding various products (fluids) designed to restore the seals but it doesn't really help. So, what is involved to repair the ATM gearbox?
i live in a small island state andwe have no volvo dealers or support.
