Does anybody know if you can put a 1995 volvo 850 2.4l normally aspirated engine into a 1995 volvo 850 turbo car?

 

Also, the 95 2.4L NA motor has a 5spd manual, but the 2.3L turbo body that it would be going into has an automatic, of course. Other complications?

 

Things are different between the N/A and turbo motors.
Cams are different.
The block isn't drilled for the turbo return line.

I wish you were closer I would have tried to buy all the 5 speed manual tranny stuff from you.

 

Do you know if it is possible to put the 5spd manual transmission and N/A turbo motor into the 2.3 turbo body?

 

Also, i don't want to keep the turbo in the 2.3l turbo body. I want to put my manual transmission and non turbo engine into the 2.3 body without the turbo.

 

You could do it but you have alot of work ahead of you.
You have to swap all computers and engine harnesses over.

 

Yea im just waiting to see what the estimate would be from a mechanic. I see why you want the manual transmission. Its a shame volvo made the type r with an automatic transmission. You would think they would make their most powerful car with a manual transmission.

 

I know I wish they would have.
One day mine will be converted to manual.
