94 Volvo 850 Turbo charger question..
 

I need to replace the turbocharger on my 1994 850 (Autobahn edition) and I have found several re-manufactured and new turbo chargers on line for sale.. all produced by Mitsubishi .... my mechanic contends that I need an OEM turbocharger produced by Volvo and that the Mitsubishi won't work... does anyone know if Volvo utilized two different manufactures for their 1994 turbos or should the Mitsubishi work?

This maybe a shock to your mechanic, all Volvo 850 turbochargers were made by Mitsubishi heavy industry.
