95 850, have no spark, is it cam sensor or coil
I 100% know I have fuel.
I know engine is turning over and I have compression. I have no spark. Is this more likely to be the camshaft position sensor or the ignition coil? I have ordered both parts, but would only like to replace the one that is actually faulty to return the other. They may not take return if it's been installed. What do you think? Thanks so much. |
Cam shaft sensor. If that doesn't do it, ignition coil. Let me know if I win! :)

Do these fail pretty often?
Should get the parts this evening and install the part(s) soon after. Hopefully it gets to running. Why do I keep buying Volvos!? They must have some subconscious appeal that defies reason. |
How do the plugs look? Possible you fouled out the plugs too?
|
Good suggestion, but that was the first thing I changed.
Wish it had been that easy. |
The CPS went out in my '04 Jeep at 92,000 miles. That was 18 months ago. Not sure how long they should last. I'm starting to think that I need to replace everthing in the car every 10 years, or just get a new car.

Bam! It was the ignition coil! Thanks everyone.
