Default ABS light on: 850 advice

Hello: I have an 850 and recently had a blow out on the freeway. I was able to brake safety and get off the freeway. However, now my ABS light is on all the time. The brakes work fine and I plugged in an OBDII to see fault codes and found nothing.

Any advice would sincerely be appreciated.

Cheers

If the ABS light is on, there is a code stored somewhere, what year 850?

You most likely damaged the ABS wheel sensor or the wiring to it on the wheel you had the blow out on.

You should be able to access the codes from your under hood self diagnostic panel (OBD1) on the passenger side by the washer fluid fill neck.

Awesome. Thanks. Yes I was not using the self diagnostic panel. I found the codes online and should be able to diagnose and clear. Thanks again and best wishes.

I have a '97 850. My ABS light used to come occasionally but would go away by itself while driving or when I shut the car off and then it wouldn't come back on after restart. Recently is has been coming on and staying on pretty much all of the time. It is now only occasionally off. Tried checking codes, but I think ABS codes are not read the same way as other codes. Any tips on where to start looking or how to start looking?

I just thought of something else that may be related. The center brake light is also occasionally cutting out. I had problems in the past with this and changed the bulb and the sensor on brake pedal and it has not been doing it anymore since then. I can't recall if the light cutting out and the ABS light coming on started at the same time.
