accelerator pedal assembly
 

HELP PLEASE! My gas pedal assembly came apart. Im trying to get it back together but i cannot find any fricking literature or pictures/diagrams in the TWO manuals I own. I almost have it i think. Theres a metal spring clip that goes underneath the pedal somehow, I'm just not sure how the clip goes. It's a U-shaped metal piece. This is the part I am not sure of: how this clip goes underneath the pedal. Any help on this is highly, highly appreciated. Especially considering I cannot drive the fricking thing without it!

I fixed the pedal assembly. The clip I referred to is U-shaped and it goes around a bar in the black plastic pedal. THe bar snaps into place in the floor assembly and locks into place with a push rod. The clip keeps the pedal sprung up. Also, my cable had come off the pulley under the hood. That tends to make a big difference too! Maybe this will help someone else. dunno. thanks anyways...
