ATT TEch..need help pls!!!!
 

hey Tech how are you? well i went to volvo for an oil filter and i get the flame trap....i went to open up to change the flametrap and to my surprise there wasn't one inside!!!! so i'm not sure as to which way the new one goes in...does it make a difference? with out one in there, do you think it can cause damage to the engine? thanks

The insert will only go in one way. No it will not cause damage not having one in there. The 1998 S70 didn't come with one from the factory.

Thanks again, ya i figured it out...i'm a little worried as to the next time i have to get it out..it went in a little snug...anywho...i also did an oil change and i also put in a new air filter..the one in there was reaaaalllllly dirty...the car seems to run a bit better..a bit more responsive..thanks again..
