Caliper Paint Color

So, I need opinions.

I'm going to be painting my Columba rims gunmetal with deep metal flake.

The gray rubber trim and door handles will be repainted black using the trim paint that DupliColor makes

What about the calipers?

No one likes rusty calipers.

I thought bronze/gold would look good, but then it starts looking like the Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan bus...and I DO NOT want that.

So,

Silver

Blue

Red

Black

Or screw it and find Takata Green color :0

Bachu dink?

Silver would look better on your blue than the green...IMO.
Do a design on the calipers with the green:D

HAHA I know I was joking about the green calipers though.

Silver it most likely will be.

You can see them better through the wheels once the rims are gun metal

I used the Duplicolor gloss black caliper paint on my Platinum and it looks great. I think that Gloss Black and Gloss Red were my only color options on caliper paint at Advance Auto Parts. I also painted the center part of the rotors to keep them from rusting.

Id go either silver or (IMO) black. Also you can treat the caliper with an anti-rust additive found at Advanced Auto Parts, here is what it did to my VWs calipers (they were rusted as well):

I was never one for the "racing" or "ricer" look on cars, these cars are classy treat them like it IMO.

That being said, this is my car, its pretty bland :)

Eventually on my car I am going to go with Blue calipers.
I am just going to go and buy the Ford Blue engine paint.

On my Mustang I have used that for alot of parts and it has held up very well over time on the motor parts and suspension parts I have used it on.

I will be accenting the rest of under the hood and other things in the Blue so I figured why leave the brakes alone.

Once done I will post pics.

RE: Caliper Paint Color

Well...since I tried three different colors, I'll put my two cents in....
I was looking for a medium to dark grey color like on the newer R cars. Finally went into a paint store and there was some caliper paint with the perfect color! At least it was perfect on the top of the can! When I began painting, the color was nothing like the cap. It was bright silver. The next day I went and bought black. It looked good and all,but really didn't stand out much, so I decided to go red. I'm very happy with that. Looks good with my Platinum Wagon. Plan on doing some red silicone hoses next to try and tie it all together.

So there you go...my two cents.

Officially official:

Gunmental rims/brilliant silver calipers.

Anyone have access to someone who does caliper stickers?

I'd like the VOLVO script.

Hmm

And Tech you should move up here and get a job...lol
