Default transmission problems

Alrite, so more problems with the 850. It has a BAD tranny fluid leak, and will often hesitate when pressing down the throttle and when put in reverse will go forward. When i add more tranny fluid it doesnt do it as much, but within the next couple days will start again. So yesterday i drove 100 miles to go to an overnight concert. When i start up my car in the morning the check engine light came on along with the blinking arrow. The transmission was also shifting really wierd. When lightly accelerating it wouldnt shift out of first until about 4500 rpm, and whenever i'd accelerate the rpms would go way higher than normal to shift gears. Btw, in economy mode, not sport. I had to drive it back to my house like this 100 miles, until i finally reached an advance auto. They read my obd, and it came up TCC error. I bought a quart of atf and added it in, and it ran alot better, but the check engine light and bliking arrow were still on. Then after i get out of work, i see large stains on the ground from leaking fluid. I drove it without problems, but the check engine light was still on, not blinking arrow. Could the bad transmission leak cause codes? And if so, what is a suspect? I have already put hundreds of dollars into the car and my dad says he wants to get rid of it and buy a civic or a camry(really dont want to get one) because he doesnt want to dump more money into it but i really love the car and would only want to get another 850. And if so, am i going to be facing the same problems?

If I had a leaking transmission I would carry a gallon container of fluid and a funnel with me all the time. I would check it regularly and add fluid as necessary until I got the leak fixed. You are playing with fire driving it til it acts weird.

before i left for the trip, i added a quart to it and only a couple weeks before that, i added a a whole bottle a lucas, a a 1/4 quart of atf. im taking it to my local euro mechanic to get it diagnosed by someone who knows what they are talking about, and get quote on the fix.

the blinking arrow is usualy a bad pnp and will cause some interesting shifting issues.

i went to euromotors today and he cave me code P740 transmission control module error. I added 20 oz or so of lucas today to slow down the leak. my mechanic cleared the check engine light and told me if it comes back on, go back to him and he'd look more into it.

Is there any major suspects of where it would be leaking at?
