Cnotrol arm & alignment

Just a quick question.

After I replace the lower control arms on the 95 850 Turbo later this week, will it require a front end alignment?

Thanks,

Glenn

I think you should. Specially if the old ones are really toast. Things will move around in there with the new ones. I replaced my tierods as well when I had it all apart.

No necessarily...
If your just separating the ball joints, and un-bolting it... NO
Unless you feel a pulling when you take it for a test drive.

If you loosen any of the other bolts such as the strut lower bolts or move the lock on the tie rod's the by all means do an alignment regardless.

Just to make your self feel better you can take to to a goodyear and get a FREE alignment check when your done... I believe firestone and sears do it for free too..

If you can feel a pull, it's bad and you need an alignment. If you don't feel a pull it could still be out and you'll pay in accelerated tire wear and slightly lower gas mileage. That would be a fraction of a mile per gallon but it does ad up over time.

Go for the free check but try to get a local recommendation from someone who knows the people at the shop if you don't have one you know personally.
