Confusing lighting
 

These might sound like weird questions that I should already know the answer to but I have looked around and cannot find anything on them. Maybe you guys are able to help.

1) I cannot find high beam on my 850, all I can do is pull the indicator/high beam stick towards the steering wheel and it will flash the high beams. How can I turn them on continuously?

2) The lighting switch next to the steering wheel seems to act weird. When it's set to the left most setting (little circle) the lights (daytime running) are off when the engine is not running but on when the engine is running. The middle setting turns the parking lights always on, running or not. The upper setting turns the same lights on as the left most (lower) setting. Is something wrong with the wiring or am I just missing something here?

I'm smart, I swear :) Just need some help figuring out super simpel stuff sometimes.

This has been posted before. If the high beams won't stay on, that means your headlights are off. That's normal daytime operation. so your second question is obviously related. You gotta figure out where "on" is.
