Sorry but about 300 is max. I really wish it was more myself I want about 350 out of mine but will have to upgrade alot to get there.

Alot of people get ahold of the S60R/V70R turbo and manifold/injectors. That helps alot for quick upgrades. I think the R turbo is a 18T I was looking for one till I got laid off. The 15T is not enough for me.

Sounds like a good plan.
When you look for a new turbo for it try to find atleast a 16T to be ahead of the game already. Try to plan the assembly as you go back together.

Sometimes you can find them used pretty cheap.
Sometimes on Volvospeed someone sells them for a decent price.
Also I think these manidolds are pretty good.

If you have a light-pressure turbo, you will have a 13G....If you have a high pressure turbo, like a T5, Turbo, Ror T5-R, then you should have a 15G. There will be a red or green metal label on the turbo.
Like this: Should have a TDO4HL-15G

not a problem just reading everything as it comes.

i thought these motors were a little stronger than that. i mean even a 4g63 can hold over 500 stock

Well the japanesse are more into the aftermarket world than volvo is....No offence to anyone, but it is true.
The japanesse usaually put iron blocks and some times forged internals fromt the factory. Like, as you stated, the EVO's and STI's which can do 400+ stock.

The volvo motor B5234T is all Aluminum I believe, so it will only hold so much. My B230FT has iron block, 13mm Rods, but no forged internals (I think), although I heard that some pre 89 760 had forged internals.

Yes get an 04-07 "R" manifold and turbo for they are really good.

LikeI said before....If you want a good turbo for a good price...make an account at turbobricks.com and check out their forsale section. There will be a New, Used, or Rebuilt trubo for sale everyday, (no joke).

Anyways good luck with her and hope you can get her running again.

God speed

Good Luck.

Edit: Since you have the head apart...why don't you put in some SS valves....this is just a though.

I always remove the turbo before removing the head. So to answer the question yes you can access the turbo with the head on.

Comparable to what? Don't understand....

What model car is this, GLT, Turbo, T5, R, T5-R ?

TheGLT has the 13G which is a pretty small turbo.
The other models in the US use the 15G,not that big, but packs a little whomp. In Europe, they use the 16T (which is almost the same as the 15G).

Oh...

I don't have much experince with other cars, but I think the talon might have a 14G.
I would assume If you boosted the 15G at like 18psi, you could out run a stock EVO.
These are just average turbos here. If you want. Go for the bigger turbo, Like the 18T, 19T, and then you have some power options.
Carefull when using the bigger turbos on the stoc bottom end, Do Not run the boost to high.

There is a guy right now selling two 16T on turbobricks.com One of them is rebuilt and has a ported exhaust housing $450 shipped to your door, and the Second isin good "used" condition$200+shipping.

And the other day, this one guy sold a Holset HX35 turbo which can run at 30+psi, for $225 shipped.

I would just try to stick with a Volvo turbo. Im not sure either what other ones will fit.
But also remember there is many different exhaust outlet setups as well.
