Dash Door Locking Switch

I have a 95 Turbo 850 wagon....central door locks all work. But I was at the wrecking yard and found a dash switch for the door locks which mine does not have.

Question is does my wiring harness support this. ie: does it have the plug behind the option cover....is it pre-wired and all I have to do is plug in the switch I grabbed from the wrecking yard....or is it more complicated than that?

I haven't had time to pull the dummy plate and check...maybe tomorrow after the wife gets home from work.

Thanks in advance for any insight on this...

Some of the '96 & '97 cars have the power door lock switch in the dash. I'm not sure what you'd have to do to get switch to work in your '95 because it's NOT pre-wired.

I guess I need to compare wiring harnesses (Diagrams) and look into what wires I would need to run where. Sounds like another trip to the wrecking yard to do some research is involved and also to get the plug portion...:) With 3 kids it's nice to have control....I do have the ability to lock them all just by pushing down the drivers door lock pin...But having another switch in the dash makes it look a bit more fancy and it easier to reach once car is in motion..

On another note, what other options besides fog lights would fill in the blank spots....I don't have headlight wipers, so I'm sure that is one. I do have TRACS. And on the console there is one blank option next to the passenger seat...I do have heated seats, just wondering what the other spot is for...:D

I have a wagon so I have 2 blanks. My filled blanks are: FOGS - TRACKS - SUNROOF - INFO (trip computer) - HEATED MIRRORS. When I had a sedan I put an antenna switch in one slot. The headlight wipers function with the front windshild washers. if you have heated seats, at one point the headlight wipers were removed (or the heated seats were added later), they came together as the Cold Weather Package. The other blank you have is due to your "lefty / righty" center console, for right hand drive cars. What I would really like to add is a window switch in the drivers door.

I picked up a switch and as much of the wiring as possible from a wrecker. Its in the car but I have not had time to figure out the wiring.

Hmmm mine has headlight wash/wipe, but not heated seats. And my headlight wipers work whenever my front wipers are on, not just the washers. Bizarre the difference between countries.
