Dashboard bulbs

RE: Dashboard bulbs
You can replace the majority with generic bulbs; take them out and bring them with you to a local auto parts shop. 1-2W of difference should be ok. However, there are a few bulbs that are a bit harder to find, such as the LCD bulbs (x2), bulbs for the dash switches (some are soldered) bulbs for the stereo which you can find at Radio Shack, Honda dealer, etc...

RE: Dashboard bulbs
It's the bulb right behind the speedometer. I can't see how fast I'm going at night.
What's a 194 bulb? Is this something I can get at Pepboys/Autozone?
I'm only asking because I want to do it on Sunday and the dealership will be closed. So if it's a bulb that I can only get at the dealer then I'll be SOL.

RE: Dashboard bulbs
The #194 Bulb is one of the more common ones. You can find it just about anywhere: Walmart, any Auto parts store, and even some supermarkets. The packages will all be clearly marked with 3 or 4 digit numbers on them. Just pick the one marked 194. Since it's a pain in the **** to have to do a second time, you'd be well advised to change all 4 bulbs while you have the dash pad removed since the others are likely to fail sooner rather than later as well. It'll take you approx 10.4 seconds to replace each bulb .
Some favor just unbolting the drivers side of the dash pad and squeezing out the instrument cluster. I favor unbolting the passenger side as well just to have easier access and no squeezing. (Warning: DO NOT unplug the passenger side airbag if yours is 94 or later. It's ok to remove the three retaining bolts beneath holding the airbag, but DON'T unplug the electrical connector or you'll be scratching your head trying to figure out how to get the SRS warning light to go off. )
