It is the oil trap system (PCV system). Here is a good write up on it: http://www.lakesidedp.com/uploadpics/pcv/.

You can try cleaning it or if it is messed up you can get a kit from http://www.fcpgroton.com/.

Is this an explanation for the MPGs or the exhaust stink or both?

How sure are you guys that it is the pcv system? I'm not trying to be rude but it looks like a lot of work even just to check

You will have to talk with tech. He knows more about this than anyone here.
What you could check, IS the intake/ intercooler hose, and clean them. on the intake hose, there will be a little nipple, that might be clogged with oil.

If smoke comes out of the dipstick tube when the car is warm something is clogged.
Also if there is alot of oil build up around the dipstick something is clogged.

So I have the oil build up AND the white smoke from the dipstick after running the engine a while. Does this mean it has to e the PCV system?

Alright it looks like I have a job on my hands. Should I buy just the PCV box or the whole assembly with hoses, clamps, and everything?

did you order the complete kit? if so that is a great price. i bought mine from fcp for $150.make sure it comes with a new intake manifold gasket.i think its also important to get a new oil cap gasket.mine leaks pretty bad from all that built up pressure.hopefully that will work and i dont need a new cap.i also got a TB gasket...i want to clean everything i can while down there.

TECH,anything else i should look for or replace while im in there.im doing it on saturday if it doesnt storm like it has been this whole week

This kit here (http://www.fcpgroton.com/product-exe...category_id/63) seems to have more parts and is almost double the price.
