Engine bogging above 5k PRM.

I've recently started having an issue that whenever I accelerate hard in 2nd or 3rd gear (curse you short highway merge ramps!), the engine feels like it bogs down at about 5k RPM. It feels somewhat like a fuel cut issue but I haven't had any prior issues and I replaced the fuel filter about 4K miles ago. It happens consistently at the same RPM so it may be the ecu limiting it for some reason. (I've been running 89 octane fuel since my area doesn't sell 91. Only 87, 89, and 93 and I haven't had a problem with it until recently)
It's a 96' 850 N/A for the record.
Thanks for any help!

when did you last replace the wires/cap/rotor? You can also try running a couple tanks of 93 as it will have more detergents to clean injectors than 89.

I haven't replaced the wires/cap/rotor since I've owned it (bought it in the early spring/late winter of 2016) and have put about 6K miles on it since. I did replace the plugs though with OEM Volvo 3 prong plugs from IPD.

New Cap, Rotor, and wires fixed it. Apparently the ones on there are the original ones from 1995... Runs a bit (lot) better now...
