engine diagram

Does anybody have a diagram or know what parts are on the passenger side of the motor. I just got a 1993 850 that has sprung a coolant leak on the lower rear of the engine, leakinf over the cv axle. Any Ideas.

Might be your water pump. You can remove your timing belt cover and check the water pump. There is only 1 screw holding the cover on.If you need more info let me know.

ok so I took the cover off and the coolant seems to be coming out of the water pump area from one or two of the bolts holding the pump on. All bolts are tight so now do I replace the water pump. It looks like it's quite a task getting the timing belt off, guess i'll replace that too.

Try looking under there again real good you will see what looks like a metal plug installed in the water pump.It is about the size of a nickel or a dime that is usually where it will leak from.I am inserting a like that will help you with replacing the timing belt.

That should give you a better idea on how to replace the timing belt. You have an 850 so you won't need a cam lock tool.It will make things easier if you have impact tools.

If you have anymore quiestions feel free to ask.

Sorry yes the pump should be replaced.

It is a pain sometimes did you get a new belt?New belts are tight I always leave the idler the last place to put the belt on.Do you have the tool to do it?
