FCP Silicone Intercooler lines
 

what is the best way to install the FCP silicone intercooler lines? they are extremely tight and do not want to go on my plastic and steel lines, i was able to get one on before i got frustrated and walked off for a while. thanks

They are SUPPOSED to be difficult to slide on. Thats part of the appeal of them...they arent gonna leak either. I dont know if this is the advised way to do it or not, but one thing that you might consider is putting a small amount of liquid dish soap on the insides. that could act as a lubricant to let them slide over the pipes a little bit easier.

or Vaseline?

Any water based lubricant should work fine to help you get the hoses on.
When I did my Samco hoses and SNABB's intake tubes, I used a small amount of KY when installing the silicone hoses. It was recommended to me a while back and it's worked great.
Some people will also recommend a small amount of WD-40.

I haven't replaced mine so I'm only posting something I came across.
They advised against any "normal" lubricant as it could defeat the purpose of the hoses being tight. As in allowing them to blow off.
They recommended hairspray, I think it was Aqua-net. You need to spray and immediately slide the hose on. The advantage is it's slippery when wet but get's tacky like gasket adhesive when it dries aiding sealing. No one said anything about how it was to remove a hose installed that way.

Normal boost it probably doesn't matter but if you have a bigger turbo and or crank up your pressure you might want to reconsider WD-40 or any other lube and muscle then on instead.
