Gonna name my car Lazarus

What can go wrong will? Understatement... Back 4-6 weeks had an overheating issue. Changed out radiator, well it did have a small split (why they use plastic???) anyway, still overheating.
Discovered that the radiator cap (black 75KPA) should be green and rated 150KPA. Change thermostat as well, why not. Still overheating...
Compression test cold and hot revealed good compression (all near 200 KPA) with about 15 KPA variance but whilst testing was the interesting part, vapour from #2 when testing the other 4 cylinders.
Immediate thought, head gasket or warping of head or block. :(
My Dad is in the Automotive Industry, hands me a bottle and says try this. I am THE Sceptic King. However...
Damn, in 20 minutes is sealed the leak. Replaced with water only, spent a mortgage on coolant thus far and drove car for a week. Replaced with Antifreeze / Antiboil Coolant and has used approx. 150ml in about 2,000km.
How long will it last... now I wrote this probably not long but I have heard some amazing stories. When I'm better flush with coin I'll have it replaced properly but a good interim fix I think.
Who would of thought. Not sure if I can endorse brands here but Company has been round since the 1930's.
Happy Travels,
Hoffa :)

+1

Everything that I know of that you can poor into your car ends up being snake oil or worse. Would love to know what this stuff is.

Snake Oil I agree... but don't have the $$$ for a head gasket or worse. It was ABRO SUPER SEAL. apparantly it has silica (glass) and copper in the mix. Put it in when the engine is hot (NO COOLANT) just water. Drive it for 15 - 20 minutes and drain.
I put water in again for 2 -3 weeks and was good to change to coolant.
Is it fixed, I think not but I can keep using the car to get to work and then have it REPAIRED properly.
I wouldn't rely on this a permanant solution. Handy if your in the middle of nowhere
