head unit/radio issue, help!
My battery recently died and now when I turn the radio on it asks for the security code, I enter the code and the screen just sits there with the code showing on the screen.
I can't push any buttons or even turn the head unit off, it will remain frozen with the correct code showing on the screen until I turn the car off. When I turn the car and head unit back on it's back to the code screen. The dealership hadn't heard of anything like this, has anyone experienced this before? |
Wonder if the head unit is on its way out!! Normally as soon as you plug in the last number, the radio comes on.

I have never heard that one before. Which head unit do you have? You can probably pick up another factory head unit up for next to nothing if it does not have the CD player built into it.

Are you putting all 4 digits of the code in?
I agree with Jim, I think you can pick up another head unit pretty cheep. |
