Headlight lens replacement

I have a seriously cracked headlight lens only my 1995 850 wagon and am looking to replace it. Does anyone have a good method for removing the old one and replacing it? It looks like there are some clips that snap on between the lens and a rail of some sort. Can I just pry those off? I'm worried about snapping them. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

You shouldn´t have any problem taking those clips off. I am assuming you have taken the whole headlight assembly out of the car, right?

I've done it on two of my cars without a problem.

No, I wasn't sure that I was going to have to take the whole assembly out of the car. I was hoping to just be able to swap the glass with it still on the car.Do I need to take the whole assembly out toswap the lenses?I suppose I should find myself a repair manual and see if it is in there.

Taking the assembly out is very easy. Is it the left side or the right side?

It is the left (driver's) side. If I take it out, do I need to worry about realigning the headlight beams?

I suppose so. You can do that yourself too. It´s not like you are calibrating a laser beam.

It comes out very easy and then you dissassemble it and replace the lense. Getting the rubber seal back on was the toughest part if I remember correctly.
