Headlight Problems
 

Just got me a lovely big ole 850 96' and lovin it! Having issues with headlights if anyone can help. Both low beams dissapeared on me one morning, one headlight was cracked so I replaced the whole driver side headlamp unit and the bulbs. I was about to change the bulb on the other side too but that had started working again. Had that feeling of satisfaction of a job well done, until I went to start her up again and the lights didnt come on again, then after a few seconds they did, then they were off again. Full beams still work on both sides......any ideas people?:confused:

I'm new the 850 too so hopefully someone else can chime in but that sounds a lot like it could be a bad headlight relay.

Jiggle your key. I had an issue with the headlights working that was fixed by replacing the ignition switch.

Well I have a new headlight switch coming and a new headlight relay so hopefully one of those should work will keep ya posted! Seems to be plenty of these type parts available on ebay so must be a common problem.:)
