heated seat issues

After installing my new front seats, I'm having issues w/dr side seat. I am getting power to the plug in 2 prong that's placed in the center of the seat, but no heat? What should I check?

Heating elements have been known to go.

If it's showing power on both sides of that plug, wouldn't that indicate the power grid is intact?

Sorry, I do not understand what you mean by power on both sides of the plug. One terminal will be positive and the other negative so you should only get one reading.

There are two elements in each seat - one in the back rest and the other on the seat. Do either of them work?

Incidentally, what is the outside temperature? It may be that the seat thermostat has not allowed the heater elements to switch on.

I think I need a wiring schematic to figure this one!

use your Ohm meter tho check out the resistance of the elements in the seats If you don't get a beep with an audible meter the heaters would be faulty, you should get a reading where they are resistave heating elements.

Each heater should have 2 wires, check the circuit of the heaters and if it's open they're toast, or your butt won't be toasty! haha

Yes get a schematic to help ya out it allways looks good to see the wiring diagram. Pretty simple circuit so if you have power at the connector you may be out of luck!
