How to fix a dented 850 wagon headliner?

1 Attachment(s)
Short story I have a 96 850 turbo wagon I love,
Loaned it to my son for a weekend and he had friends sit in the 3rd row who were too tall and dented IN the headliner....like pushing up on the ceiling denting the foam?
I have a picture to show what it looks like
How can I fix this or work on it?

Thank you so much
Patrick

Lol, I've done a headliner before. Taking out the whole thing requires removing all the "oh sh*t bars" and visors and center light, and trim around the edges of the headliner. Is it the foam mushed, or the fiberglass underneath broken?

If the foam is shot then you have to not only take the whole thing out, but scrape the foam from under the cloth. I would scrap it all off and either get new foam or just put the fabric in without it. Spray glue and tack it back together. If it's the fiberglass you could push it back in place and put reinforcement over the back.

Either way you have to remove the entire headliner fiberglass piece to fix. Or live with it.

Push on some foam and see if it sticks or comes back out.
And smack your son upside the head for causing problems.

No easy fix. You'll have to live with it. Just keep looking forward.
