Never heard anything good about them and heard people say not near as good as OEM. I have over 130K on all three of my cars and 175K on one of them and have never changed the struts. When I do it will be with Billstein Touring. My mechanic says if the aren't leaking don't bother changing them.

Some modern gas-filled De Carbon type dampers can degrade in performance without oil leak. But the difference may be negligible.

I too have never heard of Gabriel. I used Bilstein Touring on all fours on my 850 and was very happy with them.

Gabriel shocks and struts can be found in most auto parts stores including Autozone. btw, I can probably last longer being bounced on than these pieces of crap ;)

Gabriel shocks are no-frills OEM replacements.

If you love your Volvo, you'll spend a little more on better quality shocks.

...not even the Honda-crowd takes a liking to Gabriel shocks(im an admin at Preludezone.com) :D
