Congrats on the "new" car! GREAT find! That's one of the perks of working for a dealership, you can get GREAT deals on cars at times! A couple of years ago, I picked up a '97 Isuzu Trooper with 97k from my dealership for $2,500. Shortly later (one month) when my wife's car broke down, I traded the Trooper in for a Kia Sportage LX v6 4x4 and they gave me $3,500 for the Trooper!!! $1,000 profit and I didn't do ANYTHING to it, except put over 1,000 miles on it! LOL

We LOVE the Kia, BTW.

It is official I have it home.
Had to give it a tune up before I could drive it home.
Needs all 4 rotors which I will have done later today.
Will need lower control arms soon for the bad balljoints.
Needs 4 tires which will go on after the balljoints.

All in all not including the price for the tire I only have to spend about $500.00 to get it all right.

So I have the car for less than $2000.00.
The wife is very happy with it so far.
I will drive for the next week to make sure all is good then time to turn the keys over to her and turn her loose with it.

I wish I had an arrangement like that with a paint shop. I'd really like to paint the whole car, but it costs about 1K here.

For a good paint of a whole car is like 1k or more here as well.

Cheap paint job like $400.00 but crappy job.

Here for a really good paint job. Metallic paint nice color will run about between 2k and 3k.

Well when you get the car for 2K getting goodies quick is easy. Also knowing exactly what is needed helps a bundle.
