Just got HID kit for my 850
Hey just got an HID kit for my 850 and was wondering any good pointers on how to aim them or is their anything i need to buy to go along with it to help that? I guess what are my options for doing this correctly? Anything helps. Thank you!

aiming the headlights is accomplished by the adjusters on the back of the headlight assembly. If you look, you shoudl see them. That being said, if your lights were aimed right before, they should still be aimed right.

+1
You may not need to aim them but if you do, it is done the same way you would aim the headlights with standard bulbs in them. |
How are they working out? Just curious, thinking about getting them

havn't installed them yet (i've been working) just make sure you get projectors for them and a kit that could fool a cop as most kits are technically illegal but with projectors most cops wont bother because it's not giving glare and being too bright. If my tint is too blue i'll probably send them back. My tint job is going to be 27% and thats illegal around here and i don't want to give any blatant suspicion.
My buddy just installed the same brand ones (not sure if their the same k rating though) in his Caddy and he absolutely loves them and i think they look niiiiiiiice. If that helps, haha. |
If you dont want them to be "too blue" then you probably want to order 6000K or under. 4300 is gonna give you the most light output, and 5000 is gonna be the closest to pure white. When I order mine, I plan on getting the 4300 - I dont want HID for looks, I want HID for visibility.
Oh, and you should be fine on the tint - Legal limit here is 35% and I have been running 16% on my wagon for the better part of a year and have had no issues. |
