Just picked up an 850 today...Need advice

Just picked up an 1997 850 with a 2.4 5-cyl turbo motor at a Salvage auction today. I dont know much about it but i would like to be informed.

Pics of the car can be found here (but not linked directly for some reason)

So far it looks really nice and drives good too. The interior is really classy and everything in the car works. Im kinda see-sawing between parting it out and fixing it due to the rarity of parts around here.

Any info would be appreciated as to what platform it shares with other volvos, model years, etc. is there a market for parts for these online? I was planning on completeley parting the car out if there is demand for parts.

Like I said, im new to volvos (but not to parting cars !) and would like any kind of info, since i couldnt find a FAQ~!

The car looks pretty clean. If you picked it up pretty cheap i would fix it and sell the entire car. They hold their value very well. You can probably get 5 to 7k for the car.

i may have found local parts for it that are the same color. As far as i can tell, it needs a rad support, I may be able to fix the rad, hood, grill, headlight(s) (pass), maybe fenders if i want it to be perfect.

Are parts in demand/hard to get in local yards? Were many of these sold?

Some of the parts might be cheaper to just get from a bodyshop or supply place.

Try this site. Also you can check with some local salvage yards they are on a parts locator system and they find parts across the U.S.
