None of the lights work
Hey guys,
Recently bought a 1995 850 na with unknown miles for $600 as a way to keep the apartment from taking back my second spot. The car runs and drives ok, needs interior cosmetic work, power steering issues but the main concern is that none of the exterior lights and windshield wipers don't work. No brake, reverse, turn or low beam. I can get the corner lights to stay on with the switch turned half way and the high beams but nothing else. This is an obvious hazard. What should I look for? The seller seemed to be a real stand up guy, vet and currently in training for the local pd. Ive asked him about the issue once I got home but he doesn't respond to my calls/texts.
I noticed this wire just hanging there but couldn't find the plug for it.

Start by reading up on the wiring layout of the 850 - A couple of good resources includ

I'd start by doing the obvious - check the relays/fuses to start then the easy to get at bulbs, and look for where that plug goes. It may go up to the ignition switch or the multi-function switch. I can take a look on my 850 in the AM...

I checked the fuses and all is good. Turns out the ignition switch is loose, Ill order a new one tomorrow. Playing with the key kicked the lights in but I still don't have the reverse lights. Which bulb controls the brake lights on the sedan? Would anyone happen to have a diagram or a breakdown?
Mt6127, I appreciate a quick response, thank you!
