10 bucks says you either ripped an intercooler hose or blew one off the coupler. Check all your hoses for leaks.

I'm gonna guess MAF related.

Forgot to plug it in once and I had a really rough idle and I had to keep my foot on the gas to keep the engine running. Once I let off the gas, the engine died.

Also blew my throttle body hose off. Car still ran and idled just fine, just had VERY week acceleration.

Check all the vacuum lines and hoses that connect your turbo to the IC then to the throttle body.
But I still think it may be MAF related.

Where you beating on it before It died?

What about a PVC issue?
Has it happened randomly before?

Intercooler hoses are the large (2+ inch diameter) that come from the turbo over the spark plug cover to the intercooler, and then go from the intercooler to the throttle body. I had one essentially explode on me a while back and i had the same issue.

was driving about 45 mph, then it just slowed way down and wouldn't let me get power above 3k rpm. the temp wasn't up all the way to red but it was just a little above half.

temp sounds normal. Car went into limp mode if it wont go above 3k RPM. Check engine light on? codes?
