Looking for another VolVo! More info & opinions needed please!

I just picked up a 98 S70 GLT Turbo last week, but my sister liked it so much she kept it for herself! Now I'm looking for another one. Sedan or wagon, whatever nice comes first! From my research I know I want a 96-97 850 T5 or a 98 S70/V70 T5, but what do yall think of this 2000 V70R (that dual exhaust outlet sure looks cool btw)? Weren't there more issues with the 99 & up cars? Here's a few I'm eying right now:

2000 V70 R $5995

1998 S70 T5 Sedan 5 speed $5500

1996 850 R $4500

1995 Volvo 850 Turbo Wagon $3995 (Is this one a T5? Are those aftermarket rims on it??)

No opinions? :(

These all "look" decent; personnally prefer the 850s since you generally need fewer special tools (e.g. diag scanners, etc.) to work on them. I have heard that the '99 on models had lots more electronics and consequently more complex to troubleshoot? Maybe others can confirm?

In any case, i'll just say what i always say to someone shopping for a used vehicle:

Always get the carfax, and always get it checked out by qualified tech before you plunk your $$$ down! This won't guarrantee you won't get ripped but it'll cut down the odds a bit...

In addition to gdog's advice, make sure that your possible purchase comes with a full maintenance record. Make sure that the timing belt & its peripheral components have been replaced as per scheduled maintenance intervals.

Not sure about the wheels on the 850 wagon. My T-5 sedan had different wheels. I believe you would like the R models.

I like 95 or older cars because they have OBD-I, meaning you can pull fault codes from the on-board computer by yourself without any tester/equipment.

The V70R looks nice too. You may want to consult Moderator JimKW, as Jim is the master of values for Volvos.

I think out of the 4, the Silver 98 S70 T5 stands out from the crowd. Seems Super Clean and low mileage. The V70 seems nice, but I think IMO out of the 4 Since they are all 4 not too far of from the price and low miles I would have a look at that 98.
