low oil psi.

Changed head gasket on my 93 n/a and I can't seem to get theoil pressure up. Am I missing something? I have read on previous posts about pan gasket o-rings for low psi. Are they for the oil pick up tube?

What is the oil pressure reading? What type of gauge, electrical, or direct reading mechanical.
