Default Mass air flow sensor

I have a 95 850 GLT. First of all, do I have a mass air flow sensor? Secondly, do I need to clean the filter? And third, where is it... be a little specific please. Thanks for the help.

Default RE: Mass air flow sensor

Yes you have a mass flow sensor.Volvo has been putting them on their cars since 1984 or 85.
It is located inside the top of the air filter housing. There is a plug going to it the hose that goes to the throttle body connects to the mass flow sensor from the throttle body. You don't need to clean the mass flow sensor.
If you think the air filter has been in there for 30,000 miles or it is really dirty replace the filter.
