misfire on cylinders 1 and 5 after pnp replacement
 

just replaced the pnp (had the flashing arrow on the dash off and on the last couple of weeks) on our 96 850 wagon,and now it runs like crap. when you try to put your foot into it at all,it stutters,shakes and has no power. it ran great this morning when we did some errands. put the pnp in,and now it's terrible. did the pnp per the directions on matthews volvo site. took it to the FLAPS,and it read misfire on cylinders 1,5. had him shut the CEL off,and it came back on within 1/4 mile. turned around and went back to the FLAPS,got the same 1,5 misfire.thinking of throwing a tuneup kit from IPD at it to see if that helps.
any ideas on what to do?

Ignition Tune-up Kit

Seems to be running better now. Blinking light came back on. Decided it was time for a new car for Mrs. Wayne anyway,she deserves it. 2005 Passat wgn

Did you install a NEW PNP switch? Tune ups will usually solve misfires unless something major is wrong.

VW's are nice, glad you made her happy. :)

It was a brand new pnp switch.
