My A-3 and B-1 Diagnostic Codes

ABS
3-1-1 LH front wheel sensor open or short curcuit
2-1-3 LH rear wheel sensor no signal when moving off
2-1-4 RH rear wheel sensor so signal when moving off
Tommorow I will be cleaning the sensors and changing the brake fluid hoping this will do the trick. Any other remedies?

Cimate Control
1-2-4 Drivers side interior temp sensor open circuit or shortened to 12 volts.
1-2-6 Passengers side interior temp sensor open circuit or shorted to 12 volts.
2-1-1 Drivers side damper motor position sensor open circuit or shorted to 12 volts
2-2-2 Passengers side damper motoe position sensor shorted to earth
4-1-7 Passengers side interior temperature inlet fan seized
3-2-5 Recirculation damper motor active to long
2-3-5 Recirculation damper motor position sensor open circuit or shorted to 12 volts

I have no idea where to start on this system. I cant seem to find much online as to remedies or methods to fix em. Thanks,
Luke

Hi Luke,

I just replied your ABS thread.

The climate control is noted to rake up many codes for trivial reasons. I would reset the ECU if your 850 is '93-'95 model. For '96-'97, you may need a Volvo scanner to gain access to ECUs other than the engine & transmission, which can be accessed via generic OBD-II scanner.

I used to reset codes in the climate control ECU, and after a few days a few codes would come back so I left it alone as the system was functioning (except for the A/C compressor).

Sounds like a bad ABS module. The ECC module might have some problem in the electronics or the wiring is bad. Have you tried swapping ECC units with another850? Do the lights on the ECC blink?

Clear all the codes and see which onesreappear.

RE: My A-3 and B-1 Diagnostic Codes

Axelm,
I am going to swap units hopefully this week with someone. I do get the flashing lights for the 20 seconds on startup. The heat still works, just not as strong on the floor, or defrost as it should, but not a big deal. I assume with all the problems of my ABS not working, and fan pressure, temp sometimes, that a new ABS module is a good start.

ABS repair is also an option for some models. Check http://home.earthlink.net/~vicrocha/...S_feedback.htm

Keep us posted on the ABS issue. I'm curious to see if it turns out to be bad/dirty sensors, or the infamous bad module!
