Default New Camshaft sensor, now car cuts out at high rpm?

I recently had a Volvo specialist install a new Camshaft position sensor on my 850R for $450 because it didn't start. It seems to drive and idle fine, but when I accelerate on the highway from 40mph or so to 60mph, the car cuts out around 4k-5krpm, but is fine when I let off the gas. I don't remember it doing this before, but maybe it is a coincidence? Car has new plugs, cap, rotor, and wires. It is possible something was installed incorrectly or the wrong part was used?
Thanks

Best thing to do is run it by the guy who did the work to see what he has to say or what he can find.

Is it possible, sure. Not very likely though. If your sensor is like mine it just goes in a hole and bolts down. There isn't a "gap" adjustment like there is on some vehicles so it's unlikely he could have done it wrong.

When you say cuts off, does it start to miss or does it actually shut off like no ignition, no fuel ??

I took a look and found the vacuum line running in front of the sensor was cracked near the turbo. I fixed this leak and now the problem is solved.
