OBX exhaust
 

So I just got this exaust: http://www.sparktecmotorsports.com/ex11111.html. It didn't come with any bolts or gaskets to connect to turbo. Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a gasket between turbo and downpipe? If so where can I find one to go from a 16t to a 3" downpipe?

Are you using the angled housing with the angled DP? If yes, then there is sometime a gasket that you need to get, I have one that I got from the Volvo Dealership in town.

LOL I just received mine in the mail today too and was wondering the same thing.

Sometimes people need the gasket, and sometimes they don't. I don't know why it's not all one way or the other, but that's what I've read. I would get the gasket just in case you do need it, but it's probably something that you would have to go to the dealership since they had no idea what i was talking about and had to explain it real good for them to figure out which one it was.

No, and it really irritates me because here they are, supposed to be master volvo mechanics, and I know 10x more about my car than they do. When I called and asked about my fog lights and if they knew where the plugs would be located if my car didn't come factory with fogs, they had no clue whatsoever where they would be, you could tell they had no clue what I was talking about. It was really frustrating.

Well I decided to try my own method and that is not using a gasket. Instead I am going to go buy a good gasket maker and will use that as a sealer on all connections. This should ensure that there that there be no leaks.

What kinda gasket maker are you using? Let me know how it works out, that might be my only alternative right now.

I'm using an angled-flange 16T turbo with a 3" OBX down pipe on a '96 850 Turbo

I got the gaskets from the volvo dealership. They were like 9 bux each or something for the angle flange gasket and the turbo to the manifold
both made of metal
If your dealership is too far then I suppose you could transfer me like 25 or 30 bux and ill mail them to you
If you can make it to the dealership let me know and I will go see if I still have the packaging to give u the part #

OBX def. great buy and sound.

I got the tip moved back.Looks so much better than sticking way out past the bumper like it comes.Lil bit louder inside however.
