Question oil keeps disappearing

have a 96 850 t that i just replaced the pcv system and got rid of the smoking tail pipe and know about every 3 months im missing about 1/2 a quart of oil any idea im thinking piston rings but hoping not that bad any other ideas thanks

Dude its pretty normal for an older turbo car to burn some oil.Thats really not that much.I've seen ppl. say they burn a quart every month.

Mine is a 96 850 Turbo. It has 130K miles. I too am stumped as to where is the oil burning/leaking. I do not see any leaks. Compression check shows normal reading. Exhaust appears normal as well.

I was told to check the valve clearances at a machine shop before removing and inspecting the turbo.

thats kinda crazy that the motors will go so long and its common to burn a little i guess i will live with it

If your that worried about it try using 20w50 Amsoil.

yeah i lose about a quart but mines leaking....and its visible. amsoil has been good to me. I run there 5w40 but im switching to 10w40 next oil change because of the leak. Im a dealer so i try to try all there products

is there an additive that i could use to help seal it up tighter
