What is he planning on putting that on?

he has a lifter problem like l did. l am helping him change his lifters and oil pan seals.but he doesnt want to spend alot getting volvo sealant.we are putting the sealant on the cam cover, and oil pan.

I don't think that will work. It is suppose to work with gaskets like the one that goes between the head and block but not the cam cover.

He can get Permatec Anerobic Sealant for $12 at NAPA. I used it on my head job.

thanks brother.

If you get the small foam rollers from Wal-mart they come in a little clear pan. I didn't realize that and purchased a seperate pan for $2 or something like that. One tube can do 2 covers. You should put it on pretty thin.

permatek

hi I am ready to put back the cam cover and I have purchased the permatek
RED

is the red a good choice? please help I will be doing this in 1 hr from now .

It should be put on with anaerobic sealant, which is also red, but I assume that is not what you mean. Get the anaerobic kind like in the picture above. Very good stuff.

Does the tube have ANAEROBIC SEALANT written on it?

If not, find one and buy one.
