Pictures of aftermarket head units
Can people post their pics of their head units.
After a week the stock unit SUCKS and I HATE it. Like the look of stock, but need features...lol. I have a Pioneer to install. Adapter harness will be in next week |

Thanks guys they look great. ORIGINAL: Psaboic If you are looking for a decent head unit, try checking out Crutchfield.com I already have a relatively new Pioneer single DIN. I had it in my 72 Toyota Celica that I had to part out due to rust and only used it a handful of times. I'm going to be ordering one of those pocket filler kits soon too. |

Well here are a few pics of my Alpine HU...god bless Alpine!! i've had a few different HU's in my time, most of they a bit on the cheaper side...i've had JVC, Sony, Pioneer...but my far, the Alpine has been my favorite, really good sound and quality..you get what you pay for...So my advice for installation...go on the crutchfield site, and order the pocket and the wiring harness, trust me, it's worth it...much easier and faster to install and can easily change to another HU or if you wanna put back the origional, no problem.
here are the pics.. [IMG]http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s...f/DCP_0132.jpg/image] [IMG]http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s...f/DCP_0133.jpg/image] [IMG]http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s...f/DCP_0136.jpg/image] |

Nice.
I used to have JVC units. I was aiming for an Alpine/Infinity sound system in the SC300, but The Alpine 7" touch screen I wanted was way too expensive. So, I bought a Pioneer and LOVE that damn thing. That's getting custom molded to my dash. The Pioneer single din is one I had laying around, so in the Volvo it goes. I keep telling myself I don't need to do anything to the 850....but I do. :) I'm keeping costs minimal until I get a few things done on the SC by next summer. Which includes some snail action. The 850 seems a lot easier to work on. Just those damn Torx heads on EVERYTHING. |

I took out the factory unit just after I got The Anvil a Pioneer DEH3900MP and an Acer 3100 laptop for all my music and navigation. No more cd/dvd in the car for friends to sticky finger.

I like the Panasonic head units because of the non fading out puts(sub control), I allways use subs in my systems and with the panisonic units the dub output is not affected by the bass and treble controls as where the Sony in my work van and the Clarion in my Mitsubishi are, basically that's why I like the panasonisc, I don't think I'm going to tamper with the stereo in the v70R it sounds pretty good now but I may get the ipod hook up that allows I pod control through the factory head unit so that would be cool way to have 160GB of music in the car, can anyone say overkill haha

I can say it, but I wouldnt mean it.
So far I have enough tunage to cross the country and not hear the same song but theres always a new song or two added each day so with your 160 Gigs, man, can anyone say World Tour. [sm=icon_cheers.gif] |
