Pulling dtc codes

Okay, I'm pulling codes in my climate control. It started yesterday when I turned on the blower and the Rec/AC lights started to flash and the blower wouldn't, well, blow. It's blowing as of about 30mins ago though...

I'm pulling the following:

417: Passenger side interior temp inlet fan seized
418: No control signal to blower fan power stage

WTF does all that mean and how can I fix it? Thanks :)

Also, I'm pulling a 122 in the B2 socket. According to the service manual, this is a "Speed Below Minimum/No Signal" but later on it states: "Code 1-2-2 is stored when ignition is turned on. It remains until vehicle speed is greater than 22 MPH for at least 15 seconds. If code remains after a road test at speeds greater than 22 MPH, control unit is not getting a speed signal." Not exactly sure what to do here as the cruise has been working fine.

RE: Pulling dtc codes

As related to the other thread : https://volvoforums.com/m_38497/tm.htm. Code 418, it sounds like your ballast resistor the one on the right (power stage relay, common problem, replace here: http://fcpgroton.com/VolvoAC/volvo850ac.htm (9144354 Blower Motor Resistor w/ Electric Climate Control $99.00 Genuine Volvo) Code 417 remove handle and blow out usually will fix problem. Do you have a haynes manual? Read it, it has good info. Even better check this out http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/cha...97cbe47d75b72e, it for a 95, but I do not believe there is much difference between 93-95.

Hope this helps!!

RE: Pulling dtc codes

After test driving did you leave it run when checking the codes in the ABS again?

It will always be there till over the reccomended speed.

ABS?

No, I didn't leave it running when I checked the codes. I was experiencing the flashing Rec/AC lights and while I was checking those codes, I took a peek at all the others.

If you leave the Key on and car running after driving there should be no ABS codes.

What did you find out about your blower situation? Blower motor resistor?
