Radio mods to accept MP3 Player
I have a '93 850 with the stock AM/FM cassette player and was wondering if anyone has done any mdoifications to their system to accept input from an MP3 player? There is an auxilary control on the radio for an optional CD player and maybe an MP3 player could be tied into it? My other option is to purchase a new unit, but given the cost, I thought I would investigate this first.

RE: Radio mods to accept MP3 Player
You can purchase a cassette with an input to hook into your MP3 player. You put the cassette in, plug the adapter into your MP3 player. It sounds just as good as if it were hardwired. You can pick them up at Bestbuy.

I use the cassette method as mentioned by hockey2. There are some kits that allow and ipod to be plugged in via the aux port which allow for RCA inputs which I know you can get an adapter for as well. It really depends on how much money you are willing to spend.

If your Headunit has the CD Changer input on the back you can purchase a BlitzSafe Ipod adapter. Unless your talking about something other then an Ipod.
